My name is Melissa Williams. I am a Christian, a wife, a mother of two, and a photographer. I started Willow Grove Photography in 2006 because I am passionate about photographing families and the momentous or mundane moments that make up thier lives; Births, Children at Play, Graduations, Engagements, Weddings. Everytime I take a photograph, my goal is to capture the beauty and emotion of the moment.
I'm convinced that photo shoots should be relaxed and fun. I won't be screaming "Smile" or "Say cheese". Instead, I encourage couples to cuddle and look into each other's eyes, families to talk and tell jokes, and children to play. Creating a comfortable environment is key to capturing great pictures. When I'm shooting a wedding. I try to be as discreet and unnoticable as possible. I am there to document the joy of your day, not interrupt it. I know that you have spent a lot of time planning every detail, and I hope to capture it all, from the cake, to the favors, to the details ont the bride's dress. Brides have remarked that my photos let them see aspects of their wedding that they had missed on the actual day. My goal is to deliver a product that is unlike what you would receive at a Department Store portrait studio. My desire is to create more candid, emotion laden pictures; pictures that help you remember what your child was like at that age or how happy you felt at that moment. Really, isn't that what a picture is for? |
